Fluffy’s Blanket – a Cozy Fleece Blanket for a Tiny Pomeranian

A friend of mine recently got a tiny, fluffy, Pomeranian puppy. As I was named Auntie to this puppy, naturally I had to make her a present. I decided to make her a blanket, since all dogs need a decent blanket. I chose red, to match her other things. This is a very put-together, colour-coordinated puppy.
I chose a plain red fleece for one side, and a patterned red and black for the other. Since this is the tiniest puppy ever, and she won’t get much bigger, I just got a yard of each, and folded it to make a square. I then chopped off the corners to give a more interesting shape.
Then it was just right-sides-together, stitch, turn and topstitch. The puppy, and puppy’s mommy, were delighted. This was a quick, fun project.
